Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February 2010

FOOL FOR LOVE:

Join us for a weekend workshop dedicated to Love, Life and Levity. By taking ourselves..... LESS seriously, and celebrating our mistakes our lives reward us with all kinds of NEW and unexp**ted adventures.

Using improvisational games and exercises this workshop liberates you ...............from the need to know what you are doing, trust the moment, and walk the line between both the profound and the ridiculous:o)

With plenty references to love on this Valentine weekend expect a few themed surprises and the company of some rather lovable gay men!

What people said about last years St. Valentine workshop:

"I return time after time, a rare opportunity to experience a range of emotions which make me feel so alive."

"I liked the safe environment and the obvious thought you'd put into the two days. I laughed a lot - it was fun!"

"I enjoyed watching others 'let-go' as this gave me permission to be as silly as I liked."

10.30am to 5.30pm Cost :£120

Loving Men New Year Celebrations

Ok so the leaves still have their trees or whichever way round it is but yes I'm wishing on new year already so I can hang out at Loving Men. PACE guys Alfred and Co. bring us another event that promises to challenge, inspire and affirm us well into 2010 . There are workshops of all kinds and this year the clowning will have a deliciously flirtatious edge to help you laugh at the complexities of relating and dating. See you there.....

Clown workshop with a halloween feast.

Apart from letting go and having fun, our guys tell us that they also value the intimacy of sharing a meal together.

So to give you what you really really want... here's a whole weekend of silliness plus a
Halloween nosh up. As usual bring food to share (with a devilish twist if you wish) and we'll provide the bed knobs and broomsticks, candlelight and cackles.

After wiping the pot clean we'll invite our clowns to cast a spell and take a walk on the spooky side.... all the while taking the theme with a large pinch of salt....

Sunday we'll get back to the simplicity of clowning free from all roles except our own.

In this workshop you will:

* Laugh and have fun.

* Discover your spontaneity.

* Develop presence and confidence.

* Find authenticity and enjoy 'playing' yourself.

* Learn to fly by the seat of your pants!

Fool if you think it's over

Dear Lovers and Fools.

Did the postman deliver a letter long overdue,
the one full of poetry all about you?
Did love come quietly
or with a crash,
as you cooked him his dinner
of sausage and mash?
Did your heart sprout wings and never come back,
or did you throw that rat right out of the sack?
Did you make the best of Lovers leap,
or just rolled over and went back to sleep?

What did you do with Valentines this year?

If you missed our Fool for Love event but want to have fun in finding your fool this year then email mail us at paul@nosetonose.info

Gay Clown?

In May 2007 I went along to see how two up and coming facilitators with Nose to Nose Carol Thompson and Andy Pride would get on with a group of gay men at the Gay Spirituality Group St. James. I was curious to know how two significant aspects of my life, being gay and being a clown might suddenly collide. As thirty men piled in to the small meditation room I wondered how much Inner Clown there might be space left for. The evening was part play, part spiritual investigation and part speed dating. Or so it looked. We laughed alot and people took some playful risks to be up there fiinding their fool. It was a great evening and out of that I asked Carol if we could take this forward. And so Gay Clowning was born..Through that event and the next we met Alfred Hurst of Pace/Loving men who gave us the thumbs up, encouraging us to do a whole lot more. Since June 2007 there have been 5 weekend workshops, more evenings at St James and a presence at Loving men at New Year 2007 . Our thanks to all the men who've come and played with us, many of you who are still coming back! See you in the New Year at LM

Fool for Love

Coming Next Year: a Valentine themed workshop with plenty scope for spoofing the ups and downs of romance. Whether you are in or out of love this weekend workshop takes the sting out of Cupids bow and back in touch with laughter and levity. Through taking ourselves less seriously we will experience the art of wearing ones heart on ones sleeve, making mistakes and living haplessly ever after. Course runs Saturday to Sunday 14/15 February 2009 at a London venue. To know more about clowning check our website. Course with Paul MacDonald and Carol Thompson. paul@nosetonose.info
